Wedding favors tradition is truly a smart conventional phenomenon that adds charm and beauty in any wedding ceremony. Primarily, wedding favors are minor presents lend to the friends and relatives as an omen of goodwill by the groom and the bride on their wedding day.
 
The wedding gifts are known as Wedding Favors, and this tradition is very famous among few cultures around the world. The broader range of choices now available means that although many couples may choose the traditional favors, like; almond favors, those couples – who are looking for the exceptional wedding favors are sure to find something of difference.
 
The history of wedding favors
The history of wedding favor can be traced, from the first wedding favor that was the Bomboniere – a minor trinket box designed of porcelain or crystal and usually ornamented with precious stones.  Primarily, these were confined to the European’s well off class, and these Bomboniere were added with sugar or any other confectionery item that were greatly symbolizing the wealth and royal class. Yet latter it became part of wedding tradition for the people with lower means’ segment either.
 
After Bomboniere, popularity of Almond
After widespread popularity of Bomboniere, it started to herald the upcoming new idea favors, like; almonds – as the favor during the wedding days which were the omens of goodwill for the couple’s new marital life.  The number of almonds being presented as wedding favor was – 5, which were indicative to health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life of couple. In the 13th century sugar coated almonds, or Confetti, were started to offer, which are popular till this day.
 
Intriguingly, the wedding favors have evolved in many phases over past many centuries till to the current day wedding favors.  The first wedding favors - ‘Bomboniere’, the most scintillating gifts which were being offered to the wedding guests of French Aristocrats. The wedding gift ‘Bomboniere’ was reminiscent to the meaning of – the symbol of the good look.
